Pull City will be part of the International Downtown Association program, joining leaders from the DUMBO Business Improvement District and NYU Law to explore how districts can shape the future of community-controlled AI.
The program will introduce a district-led approach to artificial intelligence that positions AI as community infrastructure rather than an extractive, third-party platform. As AI increasingly shapes how people discover, navigate, and engage with places, districts have an opportunity to build systems that are locally governed, aligned with community priorities, and designed to strengthen local economies.
Using the DUMBO AI Concierge as a real-world case study, the conversation will show how a place-based AI system can support independent small businesses, improve local discovery, and help districts better serve residents, visitors, workers, and office tenants.
